APGA TAKES NDI-ANAMBRA TO HIGHER LEVEL -- OBIANO



Wife of Anambra state Governor Chief (Mrs) Ebelechukwu Obiano has assured that the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) government in the state was determined to take the state to a higher level. She gave the assurance while speaking at the 20th session of World Igbo Congress held in Houston Texas, USA. Mrs Obiano who was the first Governor’s wife to speak at the event described the World Igbo Congress as a veritable tool for the propagation of Igbo agenda.
    She said the tremendous improvement which the people had witnessed in security in Anambra state will soon be replicated in all other sectors of economy in the state. She told participants that the commitment of Governor Obiano to the realization of the second tenure for President Goodluck Jonathan was total and enjoined the people of the state and Igbo race in general to support the President. Chief Mrs Obiano told the congress that President Jonathan had performed so well that he deserved the support of all Nigerians in the 2015 presidential race and described the president’s wife as a mother who sees all Nigerians as her children.



    The Anambra state First lady who denoted an undisclosed amount to the congress noted that Mrs Jonathan has an Igbo blood and had continued to demonstrate her love and commitment to the Igbo race without neglect to other tribes in the country. Earlier the Special Adviser (Political) to the Governor Chief Joemartins Uzodike who was accompanied by two Special Assistants on Special Duties and Diaspora told the Congress that Governor Obiano could not attend the event because he was engaged with the burial of former Minister of Information, Prof Dora Akunyilli, ordination of the Auxillary Bishop of Awka Dioceses and the launch of Join Jonathan Journey ‘rally for President Jonathan second tenure bid, all of which came up within the three days of the congress.

    Chief Uzodike who is the immediate past commissioner for Information said Governor Obiano had pledged to work with other Governors that would emerge in 2015 in other to strengthen the Igbo congress and the cause of Igbo agenda.
